It was dawn, the sign of sunrise. A rooster was crowing from a distance. The Adhan for the dawn pr
ayer would have now been pronounced.

Shibly opened his eyes with strain. It took a few seconds for him to realise he was not in his own room where he had spent his whole life. He was in the school quarters.

Shibly checked for the time.

It was 5.20 am.

The voice was unfamiliar. Shibly turned his gaze towards the direction where the voice came from.

A person of the age of his father was standing with a friendly smile.

It was another usual evening of pleasant sadness. There were just a few minutes left for sunset. The western sky was as red as fury eyes.


The old bus was no longer crowded. The seats were almost empty. Only a few passengers were scatteredly sitting here and there.

Shibly completed reading another page in his book.
