The atmosphere was too silent. Not a comfortable silent. A frightening silence. More silent than Marudur. Even the sounds of little insects were entirely audible.
“I know your responsibility to protect whom”, a man said harshly at Fahim sir. Shibly could sense a clear division within the crowd in front of the hospital. Some people were supporting Mohideen Hajiyar and some were against him.
Shibly had just got out of the principal's office. The principal was someone respectable on one hand and someone terrorising the whole scene on the other end.
It was dawn, the sign of sunrise. A rooster was crowing from a distance. The Adhan for the dawn pr ayer would have now been pronounced.
Shibly opened his eyes with strain. It took a few seconds for him to realise he was not in his own room where he had spent his whole life. He was in the school quarters.
